Rainbow Winters Spring/Summer 11 collection

I battled through the crowds of tourists and trekked down to Notting Hill on a sunny Saturday afternoon
(9 April), unheard of for me, to pay a visit to the Rainbow Winters Trunk Show at Wolf and Badger. Fortunately having committed to a hot tube ride, and sacrificed watching the Grand National, I was not disappointed by the 'science meets high fashion' collection created by Amy Winters, a Central St Martin's graduate, whose clothes change colour and design in the sun-light, and what a perfect day for it.

Amy's Spring/Summer 11 collection features swimsuits (far left), with patterns that vanish in the sunlight, and mini shift dresses that reactive with light to change colour, which work by using different layers of screen printing. Her designs took me back to when I was a child and heat activated t-shirts were in Vogue.

T-shirts from £75, dresses roughly £260.

Love these corsages that change colour with water, let's face it with the English weather we are never short of a rain storm.

Rainbow coloured treats for a rainbow collection.
