Westfield's The Big Fashion Wardrobe event

The catwalk where models will showcase the latest Spring/Summer 11 trends this weekend.

Make-up artists from the Make-Up Store and hairdressers from Toni and Guy are on hand to give fashionistas a new look and model worthy hair, yes please.

The Big Fashion event also features walk in wardrobes, aka pop up shops, with the pick of River Island, French Connection, Ted Baker, DKNY Jeans, Jaeger, Reiss and NW3's collections. If a wardrobe doesn't have your size, a brand butler will reserve your sought after item in store for you, talk about room service.  River Island's floral satchel is at the top of my wish-list ( see above).

Shoe heaven!

Destined for my shoe wardrobe.

French Connection's near impossible challenge.

River Island's walk in wardrobe with garments from the new Chelsea Girl collection. The shorts have proved to already be very popular.

These one off handbags are as beautiful as the rest of the brand's wardrobe. Vintage picnic baskets and watering cans anyone?
This vintage till would look perfect in my home.

Kelly O launches Material Girl range at Maccys

A petite and newly slim Kelly Osbourne rocked the clashing prints trend with a polka dot top and floral body con skirt to launch the new Material girl collection, of which she is the face, at American department store Maccy's.
The former Dancing with the Stars contestant embraced her new slimmer figure with the tight fitting outfit accompanied with a light denim jacket and accessorised with mis-matched bangles.

Japan Fundraiser @ Wah Nails

A rail of retro sweaters and sports gear for the East London (Dalston) crowd. Motor cross pants and old skool Adidas were the pick of the rack.
Jammin LPs took the place of Wah's usual stock.
Mmmmm how to get this Gorilla home on the tube?
More artwork- one off prints for sale by some talented ladies.

Vintage tees, belts and sweaters. All proceeds going to help Japan.
Wah were overun with pumps, sneakers and shoes, including a pair of D&G sandals for £30 and black and white pointed brogue style loafers for £15.
Bad boy caps and wallets.
What's a sale without the obligatory high sugared goodies, mmm drumsticks, Butterkiss popcorn and Haribo.

Essex Fashion Week

The Only Way is Essex's Jess and Lydia had an American moment in New Look's (sponsors) varsity range.

Host Lauren flaunts her curves in a revealing print maxi.

The Olsen twins do glam goth

Five Foot one Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen proved how flattering black can be on a small frame when they turned up to the premier of Le Comte in New York last night. The 24-year-olds both wore black patterned vintage dresses teamed with box clutch bags, John Lennon-esque sunnies and lots of jewellery.

Elizabeth Taylor's life in fashion

A natural beauty at just 14, with a middle parting and loose ringlets.

The Western trend (1956) Taylor and James Dean in film Giant.
Celebrating an Oscar win in 1961 with a bouffant hair do, shift dress and dangly earrings.

Grecian goddess in Cleopatra (1963)

From work to her personal life (1963), marrying the love of her life Richard Burton, for the first of two times, in a daisy headdress and springtime yellow cowl neck dress with broach.

Taylor oozes glamour in this long silk kaftan and medallion, taken days before she divorced Burton (1976).
The eighties saw Taylor continue with her flamboyant style. Here she wears fur headband, matching stole, checked coat, gold earrings and ruby red lipstick.

The late eighties Taylor is inspired by Dynasty, killer red talons, lots of diamonds and big shoulders.
Taylor tries the colour blocking trend to receive her MBE from the Queen in 1999.

In her seventies Taylor was still a true style icon, dressed in next season's must have colour- orange, and wearing a fur lined cape.

Clothes swish at London Liverpool St

Gather your unwanted clothes from the back of the wardrobe for today's clothes swap at the Lush store in London's Liverpool Street.

Exchange your tops and trousers for skirts and shorts. Whatever is left will be donated to charity..

Today's swap is part of a week long (21-27 March) of events to create more awareness of the earth and how to tackle climate change in a fun way.

Tomorrow is food day, where staff at the store will bake delicious vegan treats, a perfect way to start the weekend.

The new hemline- Scallop edging

Topshop have come up trumps with this chambray scallop crop shirt. Not only does it have scalloped sleeves and a hem, it's pastel blue and has a peter pan collar, three trends in one.

Their multi floral print scallop hem shorts (£36) are also on my Spring/Summer wishlist. Teamed with espadrilles and a sheer top, they are the perfect antidote for a picnic in the park.

For something a little more low key, these navy floral print shorts are perfect, and at only £19.99 you can afford to splash out on a matching pair of wedges. Oh River Island how you spoil us.
Dorothy Perkins' Petite black scallop shell top (£24.50) is definitely a welcome addition to the capsule wardrobe, not sure if I could count mine as that with over 50 pairs of shoes, 10 pairs of jeans and quadraple the number of tops, at least.
Love this simple scalloped tie front vest (£12.99) from New Look. Sure to bring all the guys to the yard.

A unique take on the scallop hem with Asos' Petite pique Chelsea scalloped shift dress (£45).
