Here comes the vintage bride

I've always wondered what dress I'll wear if and when I get married. Having been with friends to help them pick out their own wedding dresses, I've never been able to see myself in any of the traditional pouffy or strapless satin dresses. As just as I was given the news that one of my friends has got engaged, an email dropped into my inbox from Minna showcasing their new vintage inspired, bohemian wedding dress collection-dresses designed to go from vows to cocktails to festivals. Mental note made.

While the rest of us are planning our Autumn/Winter outfits, digging out the winter woolens and frantically searching for the perfect coat, retailers are getting together their collections for Spring/Summer 2012. If only summer could come around that quickly, I dream of a beach......

American brand Volcom's collection can only be described as beach glamour. I'm eyeing up their fifties style polka dot bikini.

What's more, the brand have a special range for S/S12, designed by Californian models, featuring monochrome Navajo prints, stretchy jumpsuits and comfy trousers.

Crocs get cool for Spring/Summer 2012

When I think of Crocs what comes to mind is ugly, clonky shoes that even my mum wouldn't be caught dead in. I too, like many others, rushed out to buy a pair of unsightly Crocs, mine were pink, which I wore once before they collected dust at the bottom of the wardrobe. I guess I could call it my one (?) crime to fashion, after deciding a pair of the clog like shoes would look good on my feet following a trip to Disneyland in Orlando where the shoes were popular, when everyone knows in that part of America, fashion is as high on the agenda as getting a good night's rest in Ibiza is.

However I may have changed my opinion about Crocs after viewing their Spring/Summer 12 collection, which features trendy buckle wedged sandals, nautical deck shoes and gorgeous flats, all part of the brand's new image.

And despite a new image, the brand are staying true to their promise of selling shoes to the masses that are comfy, breathable and don't break the bank. Can't say fairer than that!

My fashion prayers have been answered with the perfect pair of jeans

Following months and months of searching for a pair of jeans that I can get over my small, but mis-shaped thighs, that are comfy and most importantly don't trail on the floor, and being close to giving up on denim forever, I'm pleased to report my confidence has now been restored in jeans after finding the perfect pair.

Petite Moto Leigh Supersoft Skinny Jeans £38

 Thanks to Topshop's Petite range I can now wear my jeans with pride and not have to worry about them slipping down to below my hips or soaking up the puddles on wet days. So what makes Topshop's Leigh jeans so special? Well they're super soft, stretchy enough so I don't need to worry about overindulging, but not too stretchy that I need to worry about creating unsightly baggy areas around the bottom, the hem of the jeans come to just below my ankles at a 28 inch leg, a rarity, and they come in several on-trend colours including my favourite burgundy, a key shade for Autumn.
